The Freedom to Learn - Absolutely Free
webCampus is a lifelong benefit of UFCW Canada membership that provides the Freedom to Learn - Absolutely Free for UFCW Canada members and their families.
webCampus is UFCW Canada’s groundbreaking, state-of-the-art, interactive online training and education resource that provides UFCW Canada members and their families free access, 24 hours a day, to more than 100 courses to choose from - from basic computer skills, to job specific skills, to union history, to Microsoft Excel and dozens more, available in both English and French.
What is webCampus?
WebCampus opens the door to learning at your own pace, anytime of day, from anyplace that has a computer and an internet connection. With webCampus family members can learn together. Members can apply what they’ve learned to their everyday lives, whether it be safe food handling, or how to safely handle pesticides, or how to use a spreadsheet to do a household budget.
Additional life skills, jobs skills upgrading, high school credits, as well as college accredited courses are also available free-of-charge for UFCW Canada member and their family members, as well as to UFCW Canada community partners across Canada.
And you don’t have to be experienced with computers to enroll. Even if you don’t own a computer, you can still take the courses anytime, from any place that does have one, like at the library, or at a friend’s home. webCampus participants can also have real-time video conversations with instructors and other participants in The Tec Room - a webCampus feature that enhances the learning process through live feedback from online education experts.
webCampus presented in partnership with Mohawk Community College. Courses are fully accredited and many can be used to earn community college credits when you successfully complete them.
UFCW Canada members and members of their family can register online at webcampus.ufcw.ca/registro/index.asp, or by calling toll-free 1.866.865.0202 where webCampus staff is available to help members through the online registration process step-by-step.
